Soul as self, Body as Self. 8/3/17

The "human experience" can be described in so many ways, perhaps it is even different for each individual. As I have grown to become more familiar with  my body, its presence in the world, and how it occupies space, I have begun to realize that my body is not another object in a world of matter, but rather it is the matrix for my human experience. Atman (our true self) expresses itself through the body. My body interprets everything that I experience, and my soul (which cannot physically be seen) is the instrument of these experiences. My subtle body is detached from the reins of the corporeal realm, yet it provides a connection to the microcosm of having my  body, and how it relates to the macrocosm of the universe. What I mean by this, is that we are capable of much for than physicality provides. So what happens when the body and soul work together? I believe that this is where Yoga plays a huge role in a humans life. Yoga allows gross and subtle bodies to work together. Yoga has esoteric and exoteric methods that connect body, mind and spirit. I find yoga incredible interesting because when one does yoga, they are typically searching for inner peace, or perhaps some sort of trance like state of the body. How interesting is it that in yoga, we use our bodies to reach a transient state of our bodies!?

Movement is powerful.
